today
you could have been.
the last time i saw you
i remember when,
you said see you soon
what would have been
so glorious and sweet
was so sad and fin. pg
I think on how we met... how you walked in my door, no knock and the rest is history... yes, history on this plane.
I think about my loved ones around me... a lot of them were drawn there with your help so long ago, some more directly than others. even after you passed your energy pulled your peeps from across the country for me to meet and embrace. i am surrounded by people who love me and who loved and treasured you. i am glad and grateful for you and these people who came with you and stayed. my family.
I miss you so much, I still think of you most daily and there are days that you weigh heavier on my mind than others, sometimes I feel you near. i guess we might still have the same dreams. one night i'll remember a visit. you touched my life in so many ways you know and I love and thank you for it.
As always... until we meet again... as I know we will as we have before. we knew it pretty quick when it was presented and i know it will present again.
So today is your birthday, as luck would have it, i'm going to a party and it's with people who loved you, we will certainly smile, reflect and tip back a few!
I will continue to build this gallery in memory of my friend for as long as I can and I'll do my best to note how each drawing, photo, etc. came to me. If you have anything to contribute, please. do. Contact me to have any files submitted.
To Chris. Until Next Time. Rest in Peace.
